Why Dog-Focused Running

Husband and Wife duo Patrick and Jacque saw a need for more dog-focused, safe events within the Finger Lakes. Jacque comes from years of running both road and trail races, and Patrick got into running with their rescue Border Collie Franki. After traveling for multiple canicross and dog-friendly races, they wanted to start hosting their own on the beautiful trails of the Finger Lakes where they live!

And thus Dogs That Run, the dog-focused running company, was formed.

We host canicross races throughout the Finger Lakes. We follow all canicross rules, including the no-greet policy, no stretchy leashes, and anxious dogs are always welcome!

Have a dog that loves to run/hike with you but isn't quite ready or interested in Canicross? Don't worry, this is for you! We host dog-friendly trail races throughout the Finger Lakes. No dog? You are still welcome to join us!

Not ready to get into racing but want to hang out with like-minded people and their dogs? Our meet-ups are for you! Hosted by our NACC Ambassador, we rotate to various trails throughout the Finger Lakes and always follow the Canicross rules.
